Bakersfield Climate
The climate of Southern California resembles that of the Mediterranean. The coastal areas have a moderate climate with frequent fog in the summer. Inland, in the Central Valley, a generally warm, dry climate prevails, making it hot in the summer and mild in the winter.
In the Central Valley precipitation falls mainly from October through April.
