Baron Simulator
IFTA contracted with Frasca International to build three state-of-the-art simulators based upon the Beech Baron 58.
These simulators were designed for a broad role in flight training from cockpit familiarization to advanced instrument and visual flight maneuvers.
These objectives are achieved by utilizing a full-scale fiberglass replica of the Beech 58 with a replica instrument panel and Bendix /King avionics to exactly duplicate IFTA's aircraft.
In addition, the simulators are equipped with Frasca's FVS-2000 color visual system with specific area coverage of Bakersfield and three surrounding airports.
With the visual system's four panel and 135-degree view, students can practice repeated left-hand visual patterns as well as instrument circling approaches.
This realism greatly improves the quality of flight training at IFTA.
