Dormitory
IFTA trainees each have a private room in the campus dormitory. Each room is modeled after a typical hotel room, including its own restroom and shower facilities and regular maid service. A built-in desk completes the private study environment. Every room also has a private telephone line and wireless high-speed Internet access.
The dormitory building is located just a short walk from the operations and classroom facilities. This walkway in the center of the campus passes though a grove of gingko trees bounded by wide lawns, providing a sense of the Asian homeland. The close proximity of the dormitory to other facilities provides convenience, while the thoughtful landscaping gives an air of privacy.
Each of the three dormitory floors has its own laundry and kitchen facilities, and a lounge for residents to socialize or watch satellite television. Two group study rooms where classmates can study together are located on each floor.
The first floor houses two Japanese-style baths for a traditional bathing experience. A coded security lock on each entrance ensures dormitory security.
A great deal of thought and planning was involved in creating the IFTA dormitory in order to achieve the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and privacy.
